Volunteers Are Needed for Sonoma Families

October 20, 2017 · by Amy Lieberfarb ·

Family meals are a time for being together and sharing. These things are all the more important during times like these in the wake of the Sonoma County FireStorm.

Meals provide a great opportunity to connect with family and friends without the distractions of conversations based on fire or social media posts.

Our community will start rebuilding… one meal at a time.

 1700 Mendocino Ave

Help is needed between 11am-2pm for lunch and 4pm-7pm for dinner

Santa Rosa Junior College Culinary Arts Program will be the organization you will be meeeting at for sign ups and volunteering with… they are hosting “Sonoma Family Meal,” a community-based program supplying fresh, healthy “to-go” meals to anyone in need.

Families in need simply pull up at the location to receive a free meal for as many family members are needed. Simply give the volunteer welcomer the number of meals that are needed. No questions asked. Various meal choices are presented and both vegan and gluten free options are also available.

All meals are completely free. Doesn’t this make your heart happy? Me too.

This fantastic program is giving parents a chance to provide good, healthy meals for their families without any of the embarrassment of having to ask… it is a beautiful thing.
