Soooo FRESH and made to order… it just kinda transcends.
It is food that is inspired by nature.
It is food that is hand-made.
The handmade food is only grown in small batch production.
That production is local.
Feeding the local Sonoma County community with the
communities’ own… sustainable resources.
An Epic Idea.
The food on your table came directly from the land, without going through a store, market, or distributor along the way.
The concept isn’t new but the trend towards eating this way is gaining a real momentum here in California’s Wine Country. A hot new breakfast, brunch and lunch spot downtown.
The Naked Pig has made a respite out of a retired greyhound bus station right by downtown Santa Rosa, California. Sustainable practices even in the re-purposing of the building itself. Just driving by this cute wine country hot spot… makes you want to ‘check it out’… the lovely building art matches the food inside.
Simple and well done.
Food with a conscience.
… & what fabulous decor, so shabby chic!! Have brunch that is inspired by nature and handmade with everything in small batch production.
This eclectic spot, The Naked Pig, believes that… where food comes from… matters to how it tastes. Agreed. My favorite for breakfast or brunch with a girlfriend.
Chef Dalia is a genius and her creations are mouthwatering with presentation as important as quality products as important as recipes with layers and layers of flavors… You may know her also as the uber talented and expert scavenging Chef/Owner of Flower & Bone Restaurant also in Santa Rosa.
The lemon hollandaise is to DIE FOR!!! No matter how you slice or dice it… food & love are inextricably tied. For instance, check out the benedict in my photos…
I’m enamored.
THE NAKED PIG IN SANTA ROSA IS FABULOUS. Just sayin’. You can view the videos and photos in this article for my full visit and a virtual tour of this Santa Rosa, California based restaurant.
The menu changes every 2 to 3 weeks – cuz… THAT IS HOW YOU DO IT CORRECTLY … when it comes to farm to table food!!! As for waffle toppings (non-maple related ) the naked pig may have some honey from local bees or a glaze made from whisky and caramel.
That’s right… I said Whisky CARAMEL. Who needs syrup anyways?!?
If I had to rate this establishment from a 1-10… I would give it a 15…!! Because it is just that good, well priced and equally memorable.
Plating with attention to detail, edible flowers, house sauces with each course and a smile from the server, because they know what your reaction will be, this is good food.
Owner and chef at The Naked Pig and of Flower + Bone both in Santa Rosa – Dalia Martinez – recently landed 5 dishes on Sonoma County Best Meals of 2017 and there is plenty of competition with Sonoma County being so sustainable and FULL of farm to table dining options. the cafe, does not have maple syrup, because it is not local and also not in season.
This chic little restaurant is only open short hours… very intimate… small seating area…. So plan accordingly in case you may need to put on your patience cap and wait.
Owners, Jason Sakach and Dalia Martinez are Santa Rosa natives and have really stepped up the breakfast game in Sonoma County with this one. KEEP IT LOCAL!!
A petite, farm-to-fork eatery providing New American breakfast & lunch fare in rustic-chic digs. The food is delicious, servers warm, and friendly. Everything about this restaurant works .
? the naked pig ?
serving brunch & lunch
wednesday through sunday
The restaurant is located at the entrance of the santa rosa art district and just a few steps away from downtown, julliard park & the luther burbank gardens. Patio tables and chairs are ready for diners who prefer their meals al fresco.
