Sampling wine, specialty foods and olive oils while lounging on a picturesque wine country estate. Yes, please.
BR Cohn Winery offers all of these… and more.
Tucked away down a long drive lined with ancient olive oil trees and row after row of vines, is a renovated 1920’s ranch house at the top of the hill.
This is the piece of property where Bruce Cohn decided to live and raise his family. The current wine tasting room and winery offices are an expansion of the original ranch house.
Vineyards surround the buildings. In among the vineyards and olive trees are patio areas, benches and views galore all available for you to enjoy… with a glass of wine in hand I hope! The estate contains over 450 Picholine Olive Trees dating back to the mid-1800’s that offer wonderful muted shade as you stroll the walkways.

My Favorite Wines were:
2011 BLOCK 7 CABERNET SAUVIGNON by BR COHN
A dark rich Cabernet packed with aromas of candied cherry, plum, cassis, and pomegranate. The aromas marry with a powerful spiced oak bouquet of sweet vanilla caramel, pine, rosemary and anise. Big round tannin and bright cherry and berry flavors lead to a long sweet finish.
Block 7 is the oldest of the Entav clone plantings at B.R. Cohn in the late 90’s. It sits at the top of our Fox Hill, below Sonoma Mountain and has very good drainage, reliable breezes off the mountain, and sparse rocky soil. These conditions produce enough stress to keep yields low, and berries small and concentrated.
2014 SAUVIGNON BLANC by BR COHN
Our Sauvignon Blanc is crafted from the finest vineyards in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County and Napa Valley. 66% Sonoma County & 34% Napa County. This combination produces a complex wine with mature cool climate aromas and flavors. 70% barrel fermented and aged in 3 year air-dried tight grain French oak barrels. 30% tank fermented to retain varietal character. This wine offers enticing aromas of citrus, green melon, and mineral with a hint of toasty oak and flavors of grapefruit and honeydew.
