Turning lemons into wine… Just reading reports that Lady Gaga, has come out with an exclusive for TMZ that she plans to launch her own wine label.
My glass is ready… just sayin’.
Announced only hours before her fabulous performance is set to begin at Super Bowl halftime 2017, it is an exciting time for the award winning performer.
Living here in Sonoma County’s Wine Country, I remember when she was visiting a few years back and touring vineyards, sipping fine Sonoma wines and eating at some of my favorite restaurants locally.
Back in February of 2012, Lady Gaga strolled into Sonoma’s the girl & the fig for a meal and strolled into a few tasting rooms as well on a wine country tour.
Making me wonder, will there be Sonoma County grapes included in this new label?
Celebrities often visit wine country, along with everyone else, who wouldn’t want to spend a few days here?! So… although locals wondered if the 2012 visit was for more than just pleasure, and perhaps a little business as well, there was no confirmation from Lady Gaga’s team about these musings.
She posed for pictures during her visit at the girl & the fig which confirmed reports that she was in great spirits while dining.

The name of the new wine label… like for many wine brands- has a meaning for the owner… there is a story behind the story-and a touching one at that. The wine ‘Grigio Girls’ is a song that was originally inspired by a friend of the famous singer, Sonja, who has cancer. Lady Gaga named the wine after the song it is said in the report.
The Italian-American singer with the terrific voice will be performing today at Superbowl and perhaps afterwards toasting with a glass of Pinot Grigio?!? At least that’s what I personally think. **Clinks & big pours to Lady Gaga after what I’m sure is an exhausting halftime show.
Lady Gaga’s company filed paperwork to produce wine, wine coolers, wine cocktails and wine punches with the name Grigio Girls so I’m sure wine lovers will see it on the shelf in the upcoming future –
Probably with a fabulously styled label as well… I’m looking forward to having a sip.
