The Valley Fire burning in Lake & Napa County prompted evacuation of more than 17,000 people.
Many organizations have pulled together to help house, feed and provide for evacuees. Mandatory evacuations are in place and may be for some time… First responders are critical.

Redwood Credit Union and The Press Democrat have invited the public to join them in helping their neighbors. Lake County officials are still gathering information to determine the full extent of damage from the multiple blazes and the number of displaced residents.
A relief fund for the victims of the Lake County fires has been set up by Redwood Credit Union and 100 percent of your donation will go to first responders in Lake County to aid them in providing ongoing support for the families whose lives have been disrupted by this major fire.

Governor Jerry Brown issued a state of emergency Sunday morning in Lake and Napa counties due to the fire.
