Epic Roasthouse Brunch Features Epic Eats

December 13, 2013 · by Amy Lieberfarb ·

BQXA6r2CQAEXL8YAlthough I live in Northern California on the Golden Gate side of San Francisco…it is always worth it to drive through town on a Sunday afternoon to arrive at the Embarcadero and Bay Bridge.

Paired with the wonderfully enticing views at Epic Roasthouse. Poised at one the tip of an iconic outdoor photography spot for San Francisco tourists, the Roasthouse has charm both inside and out.

BQcAl6_CIAEBphBI had only been here once before for cocktails at happy hour. They have a very lively bar in late afternoon and the restaurant was packed as well.

Great burgers from what I remember in the evening. I also remember that many locals there that day whom we had met had mentioned how fabulous the Sunday brunch at Epic was. Time to find out ourselves.

We arrived late in the morning, perhaps 12:30 am and had made reservations in advance. We had driven up from Half Moon Bay that morning where we had stayed at the Ritz Carlton so we made our way up the coast slowly.  Might I add – Go there!

460679_297745980305813_354857673_oThe Ritz in Half Moon Bay on the ocean cliffs and golf course were outstanding, the restaurant and service were also top notch and I loved the sommelier. Wine list wasn’t what I’d expect but I can be an admitted Sonoma wine snob sometimes. Getting back to San Francisco.

Brunch was well underway but no longer packed with people. Nice. We had a window seat which is totally recommended at this dining spot with views of the Bridge, it really adds to the experience. In photos, the Bay Bridge seems to almost end at the sidewalk where Epic Roasthouse begins. Photo bomb time.

78269_381670545246689_1351834362_oWe decided on the three-course meal and the Champagne and Pinot to pair with everything. This included:

Local Clam Chowder to start

Dungeness Crab Benedict Speatzle, Poached Eggs & Old Bay Hollandaise

Caught Locally Outside the Golden Gate Bridge

Chocolate Sauce & Beignets
